(NAB 2013, Las Vegas--April 8, 2013) Booth N3425: With increasing pressure to deliver more content to more platforms in less time for less money, TMD, the leading provider of asset management systems for digital and physical assets, is focusing on improving workflows for post production and broadcast packaging. NAB 2013 sees extensions to the post production functionality in Mediaflex, TMD’s asset management and workflow platform, to deliver collaborative efficiencies.
The system underpins the complete business-level processes, from wish lists, make lists and projects through to review, approvals and distribution packaging. Workflows can be designed and developed easily by users, and managed from a web or cloud-based desktop. For business process automation and analytics a complete audit trail is available, along with dashboard and reporting capabilities.
The post module of Mediaflex includes the ability to make rough cut editing on the desktop, passing EDLs on to any popular editor for finishing. Review and approvals of new content can be made on any Mediaflex workstation, including the new i-mediaflex mobile apps which allow content to be viewed on a tablet anywhere in Wifi range, with the ability to add comments or set approvals in the metadata.
“Post production was the first area in broadcast to adopt file-based technologies, but in many ways has been left behind by modern thinking on workflows,” said Tony Taylor, chairman and CEO of TMD. “What we are now offering is a complete, business-focused solution which embraces every element of post production from the initial commission right through to multiple deliverables. Once again TMD leads the way in embracing every element of asset management into our common, powerful, configurable platform.”
The complete TMD Mediaflex platform can be seen on booth N3425
