(Melbourne, Australia--April 8, 2013) Atomos, creator of award-winning field recorders Ninja-2 and Samurai, and the acclaimed Connect converters, announces two new Connect converters, Connect AC H2S and Connect AC S2H, at NAB 2013. (8-11 April, Las Vegas Convention Center, booth number C8218).

"These two new converters are the AC-powered, fixed facility counterparts of our recently introduced Connect converters," said Jeromy Young, CEO and Founder of Atomos. "We listened to customer feedback and learned just how much people hate external power adaptors - or 'wall-warts' – so we decided to eliminate them. Connect-AC converters are powered by a standard figure-of-8 cable – that's more convenient and more reliable."

At $295 each, both converters include test pattern generation and audio test tone and are even rack-mountable, making them the most affordable and functional HDMI/HD-SDI converters available on the market today.

Connect AC Features:
  • Built-in AC for fixed facility usage
  • Connect AC H2S converts from HDMI to HD-SDI
  • Connect AC S2H converts HD-SDI to HDMI
  • Test pattern generator
  • Audio test-tone
  • Rack-mount kit option

Pricing and Availability
Connect AC H2S and Connect AC S2H converters will ship April 2013, both priced at $295.
The rack-mount kit is $129 and holds up to four Connect-AC converters.
