(Santa Monica, California--July 9, 2013) Luma Pictures' commercial division continues to add effects to high profile campaigns, with its latest accompanying Dewars' new spot from OppermanWeiss/OW*, "Highlander Honey."

The nationally televised 30-second commercial, which was overseen by Simon Mowbry, Luma's Commercial Visual Effects Supervisor, for OppermanWeiss/OW, centers on actress Claire Forlani, and her encounter with a bee that entices and arouses with its sweet sting.

Luma created the CGI bee by referencing nature footage to create a photo-real replication. The bee hovers outside Forlani's window and flits across a mesh screen before gently landing on her finger and giving her its sting.

"We're honored to help a pedigreed brand like Dewars launch its new Highlander Honey Liquor," said Vicki Mayer, Luma's Executive Producer of Commercial Content. "The concept of the commercial gave us a great opportunity to add our own magic to the campaign."

The company recently completed spots for Wells Fargo (DDB LA), T-Mobile (Publicis Seattle) and is currently working on Fiat for The Richards Group.
