(Wellington, New Zealand--July 20, 2013) RubberMonkey Software is pleased to announce their FilmConvert Summer Cinematography Competition. With cash and prizes totaling $5000, the competition is aimed towards helping the small filmmaker get a head start in telling their stories.
"We love to support the small and independent artists, and with this competition, we're hoping that folks can really showcase their cinematography skills," said Lance Lones, head of Research and Development at Rubber Monkey Software. "FilmConvert is really designed with independent filmmakers in mind, and we think that this sort of short form competition will help get our tools into more hands, with great creative results."
With the latest FilmConvert release including direct support for a wide variety of new cameras and profiles, including the sony EX1, and all new profiles for the Canon 600D, and XF300, the film emulation engine is poised to help revolutionize the way that filmmakers can control their images. With accurate camera specific film simulations within all the major post workflows, and upcoming support for DaVinci Resolve and Nuke, the tools give great flexibility to filmmakers in post processing their original camera footage.
