(Amsterdam--September 3, 2013) IBC 2013, 12-17 September, Stand 10.A29: Trilogy Communications, a world class provider of high quality intercom systems and SPGs for studios, mobile production, playout and post has introduced its new Messenger intercom system to the European market at IBC 2013.

Messenger is a powerful, matrix-based intercom that bridges the gap between the restrictions of two-wire party line systems and the cost and complexity full-blown professional broadcast systems. The entry-level Messenger system is simple but expandable and includes as standard features that are typically only found in more expensive systems.

Trilogy’s Director of Business Development, Mark Ellis, said, “Messenger is easy to install, simple to use, cost effective and equally at home in small scale installations or highly demanding multi-studio applications. It is ideal for those who want a professional intercom system on a realistic budget.”

Messenger is comprised of an eight-port matrix running from a single power supply, with pre-stored configuration parameters and two operator panels. The matrix can easily be expanded by adding one or two eight-channel expansion boards to create a 24-port capacity. An additional interface board enables the system to support up to four channels of analogue telephone service. Also available is the option to include an in-built IP gateway with eight-channel DSP for network connectivity.

Ellis added, “We spend a lot of time in the field, close to our customers – and theirs – to research and anticipate market requirements, and the need for a system like Messenger has been very apparent. What we’re particularly proud of is that Messenger is a precise fit for a demonstrable need. Its development draws directly from our history of providing professional communications systems that are fit for purpose, from small local productions to major networks.”
