(Los Angeles, California--October 30, 2013) Los Angeles/Buenos Aires-based Nunchaku director Roi Ricci tests the limits of ‘too close for comfort’ in the humorous new :15 online spot “Sauna” for Toyota out of Conill Advertising, Los Angeles. The spot features a husky man squeezing his way onto a crowded bench of sweaty sauna-goers, instantly making the experience less-than-relaxing for everyone. Ricci paid careful attention to casting for this campaign, choosing actors that he was able to work with to illicit the subtle, relatable performances so essential to the satirical humor. During filming, he worked strategically to ensure that not only were all the comedy beats hit, but that he was providing the best possible takes to allow the humor to be enhanced the humor in editorial.
The campaign also includes the :15, “Boyfriend,
” which features a carpooling father who finds smug satisfaction when the ample cabin room in his Toyota Tundra does not provide close enough quarters for his his tween daughter and her boyfriend to sneak a cross-seat hand holding session.
