(Montreal, Canada--November 7, 2013) With its new presence in Los Angeles, Mokko Studio, a leading visual effects studio based here, has brought aboard Jon Robertson as head of new business development.
Robertson was previously with Technicolor for more than 25 years, first heading up its Vancouver facilities, then moving to Hollywood where he oversaw the expansion of Technicolor’s North American headquarters.
Beginning in the late 1990’s, Robertson led an operational team of 80 employees at Technicolor Vancouver and headed up sales efforts that helped to transform the Vancouver area into a leading post production center for “A-list” feature films and television series. During this time Robertson oversaw more than 400 feature film projects.
As General Manager of Technicolor Hollywood he oversaw completion services for feature films and TV series simultaneously, all the while doubling revenue through business development initiatives during a five year period. In addition, Robertson was also Project Manager in the build out of Technicolor’s new North American headquarters, a 115,000 square-foot facility on Sunset and Gower.
“I am very pleased to have joined Mokko in Los Angeles and look forward to bringing the unsurpassed talent of the Mokko team to motion picture projects of distinction,” said Robertson.
“We consider Jon one of the most respected individuals in the motion picture and television industry, possessing an unsurpassed background and the ability to work very diligently and effectively with our clients,” said Danny Bergeron, President and VFX Executive Producer of Mokko Studio.
