(Hollywood, California--December 17, 2013) Pacific Ocean Post (POP) today announced a merger with Soundelux Design Music Group (DMG). Moving forward under the Pacific Ocean Post banner, the combined company will offer expanded capabilities to service the creative and technical requirements of content creators working across all media platforms.
In addition to merging the operations of these two businesses, the company has recently announced a significant extension of its lease commitment for the Santa Monica-based facility, as well as a substantial renovation project currently under development to upgrade its amenities and technical infrastructure.
Looking beyond POP’s existing service offerings in the areas of creative sound services for commercials, broadcast, feature films, documentaries, long-form DVD and web content, the company will be expanding its reach into the interactive entertainment market, through the addition of creative talent and business development teams from Soundelux DMG, led by industry veteran Cathy Tische, who has been named as the merged company’s new Vice President and General Manager.
POP also announced that industry veteran Paula Arnett has joined the company as Executive Producer – Sales.
“POP is home to a group of highly talented and committed professionals with an incredible passion for their work,” said David F. Alfonso, the owner of Pacific Ocean Post. “There is much common ground to be found between the two teams, and by finally merging the resources and creative brainpower of these two groups, we are unlocking a great deal of potential that will offer meaningful benefit to content creators.”
“This merger represents a natural evolution for our two companies,” said Cathy Tische, POP’s Vice President and General Manager. “These are two groups of people who already worked really well together, and who clearly desired to work even more closely together as part of the same team. Our combined resources will greatly benefit the creative community working on the Westside, and we are particularly excited to strengthen our presence in the market.”
