The D4D’s 'The Art & Science of Beer’ Wins Award For Best Short Documentary at the 2014 Taste Awards

(Los Angeles, California--January 21, 2014) “The Art & Science of Beer featuring Charlie ‘The Pope of Foam’ Bamforth” by The Department of The 4th Dimension (The D4D), was named Best Short Documentary at last night’s Taste Awards gala. The film is part of the Onward California series created by The D4D for the University of California.

The Art & Science of Beer” follows Charlie ‘The Pope of Foam’ Bamforth through the brewing process, from milling the grain, to how beer saved the world, to pouring the perfect pint. The short film features Charlie’s work at UC Davis and is just one of many inspiring explorations featured in the UC’s Onward California documentary series. Watch the series here:

The Taste Awards are the highest awards in the lifestyle entertainment industry. The premier broadcast awards celebrate the year's best achievements in Food, Fashion, Home and Lifestyle programs on television, in film, and online. The red carpet event was held in Hollywood on January 16th at the historic Egyptian Theater and featured culinary celebrities from Food Network, Bravo and The Travel Channel.
