Larry Jordan to conduct GTC workshop on video editing

(Beaconsfield, United Kingdom--February 6, 2014) Video editing guru Larry Jordan will conduct an all-day workshop for the Guild of Television Cameramen on Sunday March 2 at the National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield.

Larry is an industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in professional video editing and production. His expertise and easy-to-follow teaching style are an invaluable resource for video and film editors around the world, at of all levels of experience. He will share his knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro X.

This workshop is aimed primarily at cameramen wishing to edit their own material such as news. It will cover workflow and projects; organising, transcoding and importing media; editing; organising the timeline; trimming; audio; transitions and titling; colour correction and exporting. There will also be a Q & A session.

The event will be held in the NFTS cinema. The adjacent cafeteria will be available to attendees.

The workshop is intended primarily for GTC members but will also be open to non-members (a fee of £80 is payable).

The Guild of Television Cameramen is an independent non-profit-making international organisation that cares about television camerawork and the people who make it their craft. The GTC has over 1,000 members, in the UK, Europe, Australia, Russia, Singapore, South Africa and the USA. Run by a council of volunteer television professionals, the GTC is financed by subscription from its members as well as sponsorship from equipment manufacturers and suppliers. As a result, the GTC offers a channel for manufacturers to consult with working cameramen when designing new equipment.
