(Los Angeles, California--February 21, 2014) MediaHorse, a Los Angeles-based music production, licensing and marketing firm, continues to make a vital impact within the film advertising and television promotion industries.
The company just placed the track “Zephyr,” from its exclusive “Future Heroes” trailer series, within the theatrical trailer promoting the Warner Brothers film “Transcendence,” starring Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman. That film opens April 17. The “Future Heroes” series offers high impact “epic” orchestral scores, written and produced specifically for action/adventure film advertising and marketing.
“Future Heroes” primary composer Max Cameron Concors, just 25 years old, has successfully created an innovative orchestral catalogue for MediaHorse, which has already received numerous placements in film advertising campaigns. In addition to “Transcendence,” these have also included “The Wolverine,” “RoboCop,” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” MediaHorse will release the “Future Heroes: Volume 3” set at the end of February.
On the TV side, MediaHorse has also placed their artist Kelly Sweet’s contemporary cover of Phil Collins’ classic hit “In The Air Tonight” within the national campaign promoting the upcoming NBC TV series “Believe” from Executive Producer J.J. Abrams.
“Believe” debuts on NBC on March 10th.
The new promo spots featuring the cover version of “In the Air Tonight” premiered during the recent Golden Globe Awards telecast, and have been in heavy rotation since. Multiple airings of the spots also air nightly during the 2014 Winter Olympic Games coverage on NBC. As a result, Kelly Sweet’s version of “In The Air Tonight” has been sitting in the iTunes Top 10 (Singer/Songwriter Charts) for two consecutive weeks. MediaHorse’s placement of “In The Air Tonight” is a result of the company having recently entered into formal arrangements with various music publishers and copyright holders. These new agreements allow MediaHorse to offer third party creative marketing services to help bring iconic songs to a whole new generation of music fans.
Through its roster (and network) of both established and emerging artists, MediaHorse is currently producing contemporary versions of classic songs by such legendary artists as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Who, Aerosmith, Phil Collins, T-Rex, and many others. MediaHorse’s placement of “In The Air Tonight” follows the company’s success with their artist, Avila’s, sexy cover version of Elvis Presley’s “All Shook Up” in the
2013-2014 Trojan campaign. To view that spot, please visit: http://tinyurl.com/o9cskro
