(NAB 2014, Las Vegas--April 4, 2014) The new Alura Lens Data System (LDS) 1.4x and 2.0x Extenders are the perfect products to extend the focal length range of zoom and prime lenses. Specially designed for ARRI/Fujinon Alura and Fujinon Cabrio zoom lenses, the extenders multiply the focal length of the base lens by a factor of 1.4 or 2.0 with only 1-2 stops of loss at full aperture. The quality matches other ARRI/Fujinon or ARRI/Zeiss lenses. The extenders have little to no effect on the optical quality of Aluras, offering a highly competitive solution over expensive, long-range zoom lenses.
Alura LDS Extenders can be easily mounted between the camera’s PL mount and the zoom, or prime lens PL mount. Small and lightweight, these products transfer lens metadata from enabled lenses with the ARRI Lens Data System (LDS) to the camera. ALEXA XT cameras identify the extender type automatically and display the lens data.
Now shipping, the Alura LDS 1.4x Extender list price is $8,200. The Alura LDS 2.0x is priced at $7,500.
