(Las Vegas, Nevada--April 18, 2014) When TNG Siew Moi, Managing Director of CINE EQUIPMENT, Singapore, flew in to attend NAB 2014, one of her first stops was Matthews Studio Equipment’s booth. It was only natural, considering CINE EQUIPEMNT stocks MSE support exclusively.

Of particular interest to Siew Moi was MSE’s new MINIVATOR II, introduced at NAB 2014. Not only did she get to evaluate the new, heavy duty, cranking stand, she even took a ride up to the full 12-foot extension of the stand for a bird’s eye view of the show. “The view and the MINIVATOR II must have impressed Siew Moi as CINE EQUIPMENT placed a large stocking order on the spot,” says Robert Kulesh, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MSE.

“Everyone loves Matthews in Asia,” says Siew Moi. “MSE’s quality simply outshines anyone else’s equipment. That’s why I always make sure our clients buy only MSE gear in order to be on the same ranking in the world and have the best gear for their business.”

MINIVATOR II is the long-awaited stronger and taller version of the industry standard MINIVATOR stand, first introduced over 10 years ago.

“The digital world gives the shooter a much more creative – and bigger pallet, often requiring more and bigger lights to cover the breadth of the shot,” Kulesh explains. “MINIVATOR II is the perfect complement for these and other shots, whether they be stage, studio or location shots. We’ve beefed up the payload of the MINIVATOR II from 60 to 80 pounds and added to the maximum height without sacrificing strength, safety or stability.”

MSE’s MINIVATOR II accessory package also includes a Rocky Mountain leg and optional sturdy 4” casters to make this stronger and safer stand ideal for location work. It features a double cable mechanism that will keep both risers traveling at equal proportions with each turn (38 will take the fixture to the full height) of the handle, allowing for firm and steady movement of any lighting fixture attached.

MINNIVATOR II reaches a maximum height of 142” (361cm), a load height of 55” (140cm), with a maximum load of 80 lbs (36.4Kg), weights 48 lbs (21.8Kg) and covers a footprint of 58” (150cm).

“The addition of this new MINIVATOR II to our full range of MSE products in our facilities in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Melbourne Australia, Bangkok Thailand, Manila Philippines and Thaiwan, means more quality equipment for our quality clients,” adds Siew Moi.

MSE is a 43-year-old manufacturer of industry-specialized hardware, camera and lighting support.
