Company Designs Next-Generation Production, Operations and Broadcast Engineering Architecture for New Channels

(Los Angeles, California--May 1, 2014) XE5 Media Group announced it has forged a relationship with TAPP, the newly-formed online video subscription platform, to design and implement a customized production, operations and broadcast engineering architecture to power TAPP’s roster of micro-channels.

XE5 Media Group is an entertainment company specializing in building linear and non-linear networks, as well as the content that resides on those platforms. Clients include AT&T U-verse, Warner Horizon Television and the international satellite network, EbonyLife Television.

For TAPP, the challenge was to invent a scalable, next-generation digital production ecosystem, designing and installing facilities in a variety of settings – including private homes, offices, and legacy broadcast facilities – and then tying them together to enable remote real-time oversight, camera operation, switching, editing, review, and publishing.

TAPP channels will continue to roll out in the coming weeks and months, featuring the nation’s top thought leaders in the fields of sports, politics, relationships, entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, fitness and more, delivering daily content and up-close access to their most passionate followers.
