(Minneapolis, Minnesota--May 13, 2014) The recent PSA campaign for American Cancer Society entitled “Smashing Cancer,” from Director Eric D. Howell (“Ana’s Playground”) with postproduction by SPLICE® -- has garnered a Silver Telly Award.

The pro-bono effort was lead by Producer Jillian Nodland of Picture Factory, who first brought the concept to Howell. Taking on the project together, Nodland and Howell pulled in a crew to shoot the campaign. They also called on long-term partners at SPLICE to complete the post-production; including editorial, visual effects, design, graphics, animation, sound design and final mix. The PSA campaign was donated to the American Cancer Society (ACS) to help promote the organization’s 5,000 plus annual “Relay For Life”
The Silver Telly Award is the top award given to any project. The Telly Awards competition receives more than 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states. Entries do not compete against each other, but are rather judged against a high standard of merit. The "Smashing Cancer"

SPLICE is in the midst of two other collaborations with Director Eric D. Howell. The first is a short, mysterious romance film, entitled “Strangers”
starring James Denton and Marta Milans. It is also produced by Nodland of Picture Factory and is about to hit the festival circuit. To view a teaser for “Strangers”
Howell is also slated to direct the feature film, entitled “Voice from the Stone,”
produced by Dean Zanuck, which will begin principal photography in Fall 2014 in Italy. SPLICE is on board for the editorial on the film by Editor Clayton Condit and all of the film’s post-production.
