(Boise, Idaho--June 24, 2014) Pegasus Production Services has opened for business in Boise to provide mobile production services to the growing motion picture and commercial production industry in Idaho and the northwest.
The foundation of Pegasus is a customized motorhome, a unique 35' Jayco Class C toy hauler with specially constructed wardrobe-hair-make-up room, kitchen, bathroom, seating and dining areas, plus a lift gate, a loft area for lounging and an awning. The production space features clothing racks, a lighted make-up mirror, storage and a wall ironing board.
Founder Peg Owens, formerly with the Idaho Film Office, started the company to provide a unique service to Idaho filmmakers. "This is the first dedicated production motorhome for the filmmaking community in Idaho," commented Owens. "Actors will now have the space they need to prepare for a scene before going on set."
In addition to its main purpose - providing a comfortable space for actor preparation - the motorhome will also be used as a craft service vehicle and as a small grip truck in cooperation with local lighting and grip equipment companies. With 30 years of experience as a film commissioner, the staff at Pegasus can also provide location scouting, still photography services, art direction & set decoration and production assistants for your shoot.
"I took Pegasus out on its maiden voyage for a Syringa Networks commercial with Parallel Worlds Productions and it was invaluable," said Dan Allers, owner of Idaho Cinematic Equipment, who customized the motorhome for Pegasus. "It was great foresight to have created such a useful rig for the industry in Idaho."
Pegasus will be unveiled at a reception at 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Idaho Cinematic Equipment, 5140 N. Sawyer in Garden City (just off Chinden near 51st St.).
