Backstage Pass Gives Civilians a Look at Army Life and Careers

(Omaha, Nebraska--July 17, 2014) Season 1 of "Starting Strong" is set to premiere next Friday, July 25 at 10:00 p.m. (ET).

Golden Globe ® Winner Ricky Schroder and Ricky Schroder Productions have partnered with the U.S. Army to produce Starting Strong, a new approach to informing America about Army life and potential careers. A long-time Army supporter, Schroder lends his talents to produce and narrate the innovative show.

"Starting Strong is a backstage pass for a curious civilian," said Schroder. "The audience gets to know soldiers in meaningful ways and learn about the real and important jobs they do every day for our country."

Each of the 10 30-minute episodes introduces the public to a different candidate who is given the opportunity to learn the requirements of a military occupational specialty (MOS).

"At the end of the show, the curious civilian has to make a decision to join the ARMY or not," explained Schroder. "If you want to know what the Army's about, watch Starting Strong".

Shot on location at military bases such as Fort Bragg and Joint Base Lewis McChord, Starting Strong is an exclusive look at Army life, and honors those who serve and their families.
