(Oakdale, Minnesota--July 18, 2014) Corky Seeber, co-founder and president of Small Tree, has announced his retirement from the company effective today. Founded in 2003 with Steve Modica and three other partners, Small Tree quickly established a reputation under Seeber’s leadership as a leading provider of robust and cost-effective Ethernet-based shared storage and networking systems for the post-production industry. Seeber will continue to be a share holder of Small Tree.

“More than a decade ago, we saw an opportunity to utilize our expertise in high performance computer design to extend the Apple platform’s capabilities by selling and supporting a complete range of Ethernet products for Mac OS X users,” Seeber said. “As I prepare to retire from Small Tree, I’m most proud of the company’s evolution over the past 10 years and am confident that it is well-positioned for future growth.”

As Seeber departs, Modica will continue to serve as Chief Technology Officer as Small Tree seeks to build upon its impressive line of shared storage product offerings including the TitaniumZ, a high performance, capacity dense, dedicated video editing shared storage appliance with advanced file sharing capabilities enabling simple, real-time collaboration.

“I’m grateful for having had an opportunity to work closely with Corky,” Modica said. “We’ve learned a lot from each other these past years and I’m eager to continue to build upon the strong foundation we developed together.”
