(Hsinchu, Taiwan--August 22, 2014) Accusys is introducing the latest PCIe3.0 storage solutions for post-production workgroups at IBC 2014. The applications include double DAS, Thunderbolt connection to the new Mac Pro, and ExaSAN Level 2 SAN infrastructure and will be shown at Accusys ExaSAN’s booth.
5000MB/s Ultra Speed Double DAS
For users who seek extreme speed, Accusys ExaSAN offers the Z2D HBA card, striping two RAID systems to double the speed. With the upcoming A16S3-PS 16-bay PCIe3.0 RAID system, the total throughput achieved can be up to 5000MB/s. Even a single A16S3 can get 2500MB/s and process multiple video streams.
PCIe3.0 DAS Solution for Mac
The A08S3-PS is an 8-bay desktop RAID storage system from the Accusys ExaSAN product family. With a PCIe3.0 connection, the performance can reach up to 1600MB/s and is capable of delivering a DPX stream of 4K video. The ExaSAN C1M converter allows the A08S3PS to seamlessly work with the new Apple Mac Pro. Using a Thunderbolt-2 connection, it can achieve speeds of up to 1200MB/s.
Level 2 SAN with the portable desktop RAID storage B08S3-PS
Level 2 SAN is the basic ExaSAN network with an extra DAS connected to the client. The benefit stands in letting the DAS take some of the pressure off the SAN volume as well as backing up the data from it for local access. At IBC 2014, Accusys ExaSAN will show a complete SAN solution with an additional B08S3-PS Direct Attached Storage subsystem.
The Accusys B08S3-PS is a 2.5” 8-bay portable RAID system. Using Angelbird AVraw SSDs, the performance will be better than any other storage in this category and footprint, with a performance of over 1600MB/s.
Accusys ExaSAN welcomes more strategic partners to integrate its solutions and support the demonstration. We appreciate WD and Angelbird for providing hard drives and SSDs, as well as our long time partners Blackmagic Design, Tiger Technology, Archiware, Focal Point Server, and Colorfront’s applications.
