(Moreira da Maia, Portugal--September 2, 2014) One of the technology highlights of IBC2014 will see MOG, the developer of innovative IT-based broadcast solutions, presenting its new modular and mobile studio solution. This innovative solution leverages MOG’s well-known technology-leadership to provide the capabilities to cover all broadcast production needs in a single rack system with 38cm depth.

Based on mxfSPEEDRAIL Xpress, the modular nature of this mobile studio solution allows customers to choose between capture, playback, file conversion and transcoding services, all within the same compact rack system. As all these services are provided in one solution that just requires power it is an ideal product for Outside Broadcast, live events, reality shows and rental houses.

The unit also fits the editing suites (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer), the support for user’s file-based devices and a compact, high bandwidth performance online storage that allows real time storage, such as edit-in-place, transcoding and on-the-fly transmission.

Luis Miguel Sampaio, CEO, MOG Technologies, said, “Our new compact Modular Mobile Studio is a high performance solution that sets a new benchmark for compactness and ease of use. It is ideal for small and medium sized production facilities and mobile studios that need to follow a multi-location shooting schedule, saving on shipping costs and ensuring productions have the capabilities they want on-set where they need them.”

Based on open industry standards and offering state-of-the-art technology, MOG has been establishing itself in the market as the worldwide supplier for both Centralized Ingest Solutions and MXF Development Tools. For over a decade, MOG has been helping worldwide broadcasters and technology providers to increase the overall performance of its workflows while migrating for file-based environments, ensuring high interoperability between systems and formats.
