(Beverly Hills, California--September 6, 2014) Each month Creative District, the online professional network for filmmakers backed by Technicolor, gives away up to $5,000 in grants to support independent film and media makers in the Creative District community. This past month, Creative District dedicated its $5,000 grant to support one outstanding web series. With over 500 submissions to the Creative District platform, Melissa Hunter and the team at "Adult Wednesday Addams", wound up walking away with the top prize.
"Adult Wednesday Addams" is a comedic web series that follows the life of Wednesday Addams as she moves out of the Addams Family Manor and to LA, where she navigates adult responsibilities like jobs, romance & vengeance. The web series has over 40,000 subscribers and 1 million views.
By granting the project $5,000 Creative District will be supporting the production of season 2, which is expected to start filming this fall.
