(New York, New York--September 29, 2014) Harpoon Pictures has produced a high-end production in three days for Verizon’s new arrival in Alaska. When Verizon decided to expand their services to be the largest 4G LTE network in the territory, they wanted to make a lasting impression with the spot, “The Arrival” directed by Samy Mosher and produced by Harpoon Pictures with agency Erwin Penland.
This exhilarating spot incorporates all aspects of land, sea and air from dogsleds, snowmobiles to trucks and airplanes that smoothly land on the water. With each shot building onto the intensity from the last, in the end, the majesty of the whole Verizon fleet arriving at one woman’s doorstep is unveiled. Verizon’s latest 30-second spot opens as the camera pans over the stunning snowcapped Alaskan mountains and a dogsled emerges across the screen to be joined by planes soaring over mountain peaks and snowmobiles racing through snow and mud.
Creating this spot for Verizon was especially unique not only because of the beautiful backdrops and the fact that their services are being expanded to a whole new territory, but because the time span between being awarded the spot and shoot date was so short. Harpoon Pictures was able to assemble production team and crew, secure the vast fleet of planes and ground vehicles and mount this production in a matter of days.
Harpoon’s Director of New Business Development, Chris Miller, sums up his teams efforts, "A project like this reminds us that it takes more than a great director to produce a great spot. Harpoon put all our best problem solving skills to the test and our amazing production team deftly pulled off every challenge presented to them in an incredibly short amount of time.”
