(Los Angeles, California--October 3, 2014) Debra Blanchard Knight, President of Fringe Talent and Co-Founder of Conduit Seminars, is slated to moderate two roundtables at the VES Summit on Saturday, October 18th, at the W Hotel in Hollywood, CA.
VES Summit: Networking and Visual Imagery Evolution is the sixth annual summit held by the Visual Effects Society and is scheduled from 9:30am to 3:30pm on October 18th. The day will feature two sessions of Roundtable Discussions to be lead by industry leaders who are experts on the topics of at each table. Debra will be moderating on Freelance: Surviving as A Nomad.
“A career in visual effects, animation or production is not the same as it was, even, five years ago. People who have had outstanding careers are now at a loss as to how to navigate working freelance,” says Blanchard Knight. “Studios don’t staff in the same way anymore. My goal for this roundtable is to have the participants discuss how they can get the world of project-hires to work for them, whether they are artists or employers.”
