(Chicago, Illinois--October 28, 2014) Commercial production company STORY, headquartered in Chicago, and its sister company, Accomplice Media, based in Santa Monica, Calif. have announced the appointment of Melissa Thornley to a new position as head of new business development for the Midwest markets. Thornley will market both companies’ diverse roster of commercial directors and creative talents to advertising and clients in Midwest markets.
Thornley previously was managing director of Beast•Method•Company 3 and prior to that was managing director for The White House Post, alternatively in their Chicago, New York and London offices. She is currently working in new business development for Hum Music, a position she will hold concurrently with her new role at STORY and Accomplice.

Androw became acquainted with Thornley though her multiple industry activities including, AICP/Midwest Board, Chicago International Film Festival, Midwest Independent Film Festival and Women in Film. “Melissa is a very good community citizen, giving generously of her time and expertise to many worthwhile organizations,” he said. “She is highly respected and admired in the community and we are extremely happy and excited to have her as part of our team.
