(April 15, 2015) Christie® unveiled five new 3LCD digital projectors at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas today. Featuring brightness ranges of 6000-8000 lumens with a single lamp and an optional* 0.38:1 Ultra Short Throw lens, the new Christie D Series with 10,000:1 contrast ratio boasts one of the brightest single lamps in the market offering XGA, WXGA and WUXGA high resolution.

Christie D Series is whisper-quiet and offers performance, quality and easy integration – making it ideal for higher education, corporations, museums, houses of worship, government facilities and selected rental and staging environments. Christie’s innovative and elegant new design seamlessly integrates into any environment and enriches any room’s decor. The five new D Series models replace the Christie LHD700 and LX700, in addition to the Christie LW551i, LWU501i and LX601i.

“The Christie D series is designed for the professional integrator to fulfill the end user’s situational needs, which led to the innovative Single Connect option that removes cords, wires, and unsightly cable covers from view. Form and fit are key factors in this market segment and Christie created a solution that is more than simply speeds and feeds,” said Frank Anzures, senior product manager, Christie. “The Ultra Short Throw (UST) lens option gives customers exciting new ways to project and the ability to create beautiful visual environments without worrying about people or objects entering the standard light path.”

The new Christie Connect option with Wireless USB option provides monitoring and collaboration capabilities in multi-user environments. Users also benefit from professional tools including HDRC-Liteloc for stunning images even as the lamp ages, and the new Advance Color Management system provides separate controls for hue, saturation and luminance to create lifelike images.

CHRISTIE LAUNCHES THE WORLD’S MOST SCALABLE, MODULAR AND HIGH-BRIGHTNESS 3D PROJECTORS,

IN 3P AND 6P LASER VERSIONS

Based on the Christie Freedom® laser illumination system, customers in the cinema, location-based entertainment (LBE)

immersive environment and rental-staging markets finally have a choice of optimum 3D projection solutions

NAB/LAS VEGAS – (April 13, 2015) – Christie® , the industry’s preferred brand for digital projection solutions for entertainment venues – including cinema and location-based venues such as theme parks, museums and planetariums – as well as rental-staging projects, today officially announced its laser projection system platform and products.

Anchored by the Christie Freedom® laser illumination system, the Christie Solaria CP42LH (Cinema), Christie D4K60LH (ProVenue) and Christie Mirage 4KLH (Immersive Environments) models are now available for widespread adoption, having been field proven with key Christie customers in 2014/2015 in both publicly-announced and non-disclosed installations.

“By providing from 5,000 to 60,000 lumen brightness, 4K resolution and on up to the Rec. 2020 color space for the best color reproduction in the industry, Christie’s RGB laser systems are setting new standards for incredible brightness, wider color gamut and astounding contrast,” said Don Shaw, senior director, Product Management, Christie. “With this announcement Christie redefines what the world’s best shared experiences are capable of, by increasing performance and capabilities across multiple applications and markets.”

The Christie® laser projection system used in all models is based on a scalable laser light source with a choice of projection heads and a fiber cable that connects the laser light source with the projection head. The complete laser projection system is engineered to produce high brightness levels and exceptional color utilizing a high bit depth 4K resolution imaging engine.

The Christie Freedom laser illumination system’s modularity allows for 5000 lumen increments (‘steps of light’) output per module in a rack-mounted array of modules. The Laser Module consists of multiple RGB lasers, a cooling system and a fiber connection, which allows each module to be self-contained; therefore providing modular redundancy to the Christie Freedom laser illumination system.

Christie is supplying three, highly engineered and powerful projection heads with its laser systems, tuned for specific customer/market needs:

· The DCI compliant Cinema projection head (Christie Solaria CP42LH – capable of up to 48Hz).

· The ProVenue 60Hz model (Christie D4K60LH – capable of up to 60Hz).

· The Immersive 120Hz head (Christie Mirage 4KLH – the only laser system capable of up to 4K resolution at 120Hz in a single projector).

All of Christie’s projection heads and Christie Freedom laser illumination systems are available for purchase through Christie or its authorized partners today.
