The Mill welcomes Pete King as Executive Producer for Automotive

(Los Angeles, CA--September 1, 2015) The Mill is pleased to announce the hire of Pete King as Executive Producer for their automotive clients and brands. Pete will be based out of The Mill in Los Angeles and will be working alongside Alistair Thompson, Executive Vice President, International and the team of artists, technicians and producers creating world-class content and responding to the unique needs of global automotive advertisers and brands.



He joins The Mill from Big Block where he was an Executive Producer and responsible for leading the production team that launched the Big Block Design Group (BBDG), and prior to that was at A52 where he worked as a Senior VFX Producer.

Pete has a deep understanding and extensive experience in producing complex and innovative car commercials, collaborating on high-profile auto brands with Team One, Mullen, David&Goliath, Digitas, Team Detroit, Doner and Innocean Worldwide.

He has produced the BMW M5 TV and viral sensation ‘Bullet’, a series of digital campaigns with Digitas Boston for GMC, the Emmy nominated opening title sequence for 'Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey' and the rebrands for ESPN for the NFL franchise shows packages.

Pete King is Executive Producer and is based out of the Los Angeles studio where he leads the production team in delivering cutting-edge content to The Mill’s automotive clients and brands.

Pete has 13 years of experience producing CG, live-action and design projects. Prior to joining The Mill, he was Executive Producer at Big Block where he led high-profile car commercials including the viral BMW ‘Bullet’ and a series of digital campaigns for GMC. In addition, Pete has produced content for notable brands such as Gatorade ‘The Inside Edge’ and the Emmy-nominated opening title sequence for National Geographic docuseries ‘Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey’.

A natural strategist with an aptitude for innovation, Pete continues to expand and strengthen The Mill’s automotive team while generating creative, technical solutions to meet our clients’ visions.
