Twist's Matt Pittroff Extends His Stay With Hilton

(October 7, 2015) Twist Comedy Director, Matt Pittroff, has recently completed two fun spots in collaboration with HZDG for Hilton, promoting the rewards program Hilton HHonors. Twist headed the creative process from start to finish utilizing the unique talents of Producer Alissa Liebert. The commercials for Hilton HHonors reminds viewers that life happens, but the control of convenience and comfort is only a fingertip away.

This campaign showcases the benefits of the Hilton HHonors App as principal characters, Becca and Jacob, are able to easily take control of their decisions. Becca, after an exhausting day, unwinds in her Hilton room and indulges in the convenience and comfort of room service. Jacob, expedites his hotel check-in and enjoys the convenience and comfort of his pre selected room with a view.



Jon Leon, Senior Art Director HZDG says, "Bringing Matt and Twist in early ended up becoming a wonderfully collaborative creative process. It definitely helps everyone involved better understand the message. It's inherently funny to create work around common truths in life. There are certain times you have no control over what is going to happen. We took this truth, had a little fun with it, and showcased Hilton HHonors and the control it gives you when you travel. Plus, who doesn't love stickin' it to the boss every now and then?"



Twist Director Matt Pittroff comments: "As the lines between agency and production, production and post, and the 'one stop shops' continue to blur, I need to be more nimble than ever. I find it exhilarating. While some projects are still setting course in a traditional trajectory, there are many that involve me sooner rather than later. I've always been conscientious of the Agency's creative efforts prior to my joining the team, but getting in early reinforced my appreciation for agency/client relationships, and provided a much greater understanding of the big picture goals. There was much more to it than the two digital films I worked on. This exposure only stands to strengthen the messaging. I'm proud of the work that we executed together. More importantly, we cultivated a strong relationship and trust. Bring me in early and let me stay late. I love it!"



Alissa Liebert, who has been overseeing many of Matt's recent projects, is happy to be this involved with the process. "It's a privilege. Working closely with HZ both creatively and logistically, allowed us to come up with smart, cost-effective solutions. For this particular project, Matt introduced the idea of 'same but different,' which totally worked for both spots. Every bridal shop has a large mirror and a tufted ottoman. Every conference room has a large table and wall of windows. Re-dressing sets and changing out wardrobe allowed us to shoot both of these spots in 2 days. TWO DAYS!"
