(Orvieto, Italy--March 21, 2016) Itelco is presenting its latest advances in Doherty and full broadband technology at the 2016 NAB Show.

The Italian company, which boasts more than 55 years of experience in the broadcast industry, explains that until recently, the integration of Doherty amplification proved to be quite a task for manufacturers. Due to technological restrictions, suppliers had therefore settled to simply offer transmitter systems equipped with narrowband Doherty technology.

After vast research, Itelco is today able to demonstrate full wideband Doherty technology amplification. This achievement, it says, is a milestone in transmission technology because it greatly increases efficiency and saves energy — finally answering market requirements for frequency-agile amplifiers.

“Thanks to Itelco’s latest innovative developments in Doherty technology, we have regained our place as a pioneer in the broadcasting field,” said Gianluca Busi, marketing manager.

At the NAB 2016 Show, Itelco will showcase a video that gives insight into the company’s groundbreaking findings in Doherty technology and full broadcast as applied to transmitter amplification.
