(Cambridge, Massachusetts--June 7, 2016) GenArts, Inc., makers of premium special effects plugins, today announced that it has further strengthened its management team with the appointment of Daniel Sims as its new Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development. Sims brings with him over 12 years of international marketing and business development expertise. He has a proven track record of successfully introducing growth-focused marketing and revenue acquisition strategies in technology, SaaS, and software service companies.
Sims’s first priority will be to implement a marketing strategy that supports the acquisition of new business. As part of this focus, he will introduce new business processes and systems in addition to further developing GenArts, Inc e-Commerce and lead acquisition channels. “I am excited to have joined such a passionate team,” said Sims. “We are the gold standard for special effects and transitions in video production and post production. I am committed to helping as many artists as possible learn and use our product so they can produce their highest quality work.”

Previously, Sims has built out and managed business development, marketing, and marketing operation teams at niche service providers such as Scope Systems as well as at large, multi-national companies like Experian.
Sims holds a BCom (Hons) in Sales and Marketing from Curtin University of Technology and a Diploma of Commerce in Economics and Commercial Law from the Australian Institute of University Studies.
