REUNION OF THE "FIREFLY" ART DEPARTMENT PANEL - Friday, July 22 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., Room 29AB

Those who worked on the Joss Whedon cult classic, which ran for just one season (2002-2003), will reminisce on their days working 500 years in the future. Panelists include Carey Meyer (Production Designer and Panel Moderator), Dylan Hay-Chapman (Graphic Designer), Loni Peristere (VFX Supervisor and Zoic creator) and Will Batts (Set Designer).

An autograph session will take place before the panel at 5:30 p.m. in the Sails Pavilion (AA04).

COMIC-CON INDUSTRY MIXER - Friday, July 22 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Marriott Marquis (Marina Kitchen)

The Art Directors Guild will host its annual mixer at the Marriott Marquis in partnership with the Costume Designers Guild and the Location Managers Guild International.

The Production Designer reads 100 pages of nothing but words on paper -- and then must literally dream up the most perfect of all possible worlds in which the tale should take place. Though the story may be set in some mythic past, the here and now, or some nearly unimaginable future -- its always human emotion rendered in color and composition. And following that - the Designer must gather and organize an army of artists who, over months or years, in plaster or in pixels, will somehow render that design for the big screen. Panelists include Dave Blass (Preacher, Constantine), James Chinlund (War for the Planet of the Apes, The Avengers), Sean Haworth (Deadpool) and Suzuki Ingerslev (Colony, True Blood). Panel will be moderated by Production Designer John Muto (Home Alone, Species).

An autograph session will immediately follow the panel in the Sails Pavilion (AA01).

ADG/CDG/705/LMGI BOOTH – San Diego Convention Center – Booth D-08 – July 21-24
