Future Media Concepts Announces the 2017 Editors Retreat Keynotes

Editor of “Iron Man” and “Thor: The Dark World,” Dan Lebental, and known documentary editor, Steve Audette, will join Editors Retreat in Nashville in January 2017

(New York, NY--December 5, 2016) Future Media Concepts, the nation’s leading training provider and conference organizer in the digital media industry, announced today that two big names will provide the keynotes for Editors Retreat 2017. The first, Dan Lebental, is best known for his work on Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010) and Thor: The Dark World (2013). The second, Steve Audette, counts over 50 documentary credits, including ones for Frontline, Nova and Nova Science Now, Evolution and the short documentary Nico’s Challenge. Now it its 11th year, Editors Retreat will take place in Nashville, TN, on February 18-22, 2017.

Dan Lebental is a known Hollywood professional editor who He been editing feature films for more than 20 years, working with some of Hollywood's top movie studios and directors. His versatility across genres includes working on comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries, TV projects and hundreds of music videos.

Steve Audette has been editing for 20 years and his work has contributed to many Emmy Award-winning documentaries, as well as Peabody, Polk and DuPont Columbia Award-winning programs. In 2008 Steve was nominated for an Eddie Award from American Cinema Editors, in the category of Best Documentary Editor for the Frontline documentary “Bush’s War.”

Produced in collaboration with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Editors Retreat is all about community and about learning how to be the best at your craft. The conference is attended by an intimate group of TV, film and video editors whose work and experience level are vetted prior to registration.
