POP AYE won the World Cinema Dramatic Award (Screenplay) at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. A road movie set in Thailand,
POP AYE tells the story of an over-the-hill architect and his attempt to bring his long-lost elephant back to their rural hometown.
Written and directed by Singaporean filmmaker Kirsten Tan, who is currently based in New York,
POP AYE was the opening night title in the World Dramatic section and gathered strong reviews since its debut on January 19. Ms. Tan is the first Singaporean to win a prize at Sundance.

Gianfranco Rosi’s
FIRE AT SEA, nominated for an Academy Award® in the Documentary Feature category, is returning to select theatrical markets, besides opening in new cities nationwide.
The film comes back to Los Angeles theaters with an engagement at Laemmle’s Royal Theatre on February 3, 2017, and also opens at Digital Gym (San Diego) and Plaza Theatre (Atlanta) on the same day.
