(March 15, 2018) A breakout session entitled, "Master The Workflow: The Clearest Path to Becoming a Feature Film Editor," will be presented by veteran film editor Lawrence Jordan and assistant editor Richard Sanchez at Avid Connect 2018.

Veteran film editor Lawrence Jordan (Fallen, Assassins, Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo, CSI: Miami, NYPD Blue) and assistant editor Richard Sanchez (UFO Hunters, The Good Place, Table 19 and Naked) are the co-creators of Master the Workflow's flagship offering, Feature Film Assistant Editor Immersion 1.0, a unique online course that provides training specifically designed for aspiring filmmakers, film school graduates and others starting out in the film and television industry. The program addresses the age-old conundrum faced by those lacking professional experience: how to gain the practical knowledge needed to become successful.

While many courses are available to learn how to use Avid Media Composer, there has been no way previously for newcomers to learn how to actually function in a working, professional editing room.

Jordan & Sanchez developed Feature Film Assistant Editor Immersion 1.0 as a means to learn the exact skills needed to make it as an assistant film editor in the most demanding professional post-production environments. They also tailored it to be ideal for experienced assistant editors looking to make the transition to features, as well as independent filmmakers.

WHEN: Saturday, April 7, 2018 3:45 PM

WHERE: Avid Connect 2018 Wynn Las Vegas, 3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109

Jordan and Sanchez will be available to media during Avid Connect 2018, which takes place between April 6-8. They will also be exhibiting at the CPUG Supermeet and attending the NAB Show during this same period of time.
