(Plainview, NY--August 9, 2019) What exciting news that Blackmagic Design is coming out with the Pocket 6K! As we all were aware with the Pocket 4K model, the battery runtime of an LPE6 was minimal and the reason why the Powerbase Edge became a favorite of many Pocket 4K users in the field. Fortunately, the Powerbase Edge will still be the go-to battery pack with the Pocket 6K as it will power the camera for about 3.5 hours, depending on the use of additional accessories.

In addition to the long runtime, the battery pack is also the most versatile and featured-packed battery. It has two different mounting options so users can either mount it to the bottom of their camera using the 1/4-20 or they can use it as a v-mount pack if they have a rig with a v-mount plate. More features include the multipurpose runtime LCD which will provide remaining runtime in hours and minutes while powering the camera as well as remaining charge time while on the charger. The Edge also has two p-taps and 2 USB's to power additional accessories a user may have. Even better, the battery pack already comes with the adapter cable for the Pocket camera and a p-tap charger to be able to charge the pack, so users don't have to worry about purchasing any additional accessories for it.

Here's a few photos from Pocket 4K operators who have been relying on PB Edge power:
